Be kind... be woman kind.
In today's world, it is so easy to shoot other people down, pick faults, point the finger, troll anonymously. As female founders of our own small business, we want to create a work place and a community where we celebrate everyone but especially other women in our field, and beyond.
With International Women's Day falling tomorrow, 8th March 2022, I wanted to take the opportunity to let you know about some women have who inspired me this month (otherwise the list would go on for days....!).
- First of all, my cousin and business partner, Georgina who gave birth to a beautiful baby girl last week - she has taken to motherhood so naturally, and having not had children myself, I am still astounded at the miracle of life.
- Next, despite your politics or global view, I don't think any of us can fail to be impressed by Olena Zelenska, a Ukrainian screenwriter who is the current First Lady of Ukraine as the wife of President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Offered asylum from the current conflict with Russia, they turned it down, determined to stay and fight with and for their people - that is true love, loyalty and leadership.
- Finally, for this week, I would like to celebrate Fran Ellis - she runs a lifestyle change programme, Frantastic Life, which can be found here.
Fran is a personal trainer, psychology graduate and dedicated change maker. She firmly believes that "Lasting and sustainable change doesn’t start in the gym, it doesn’t even start in the kitchen, it starts in the mind". With a revolutionary approach - that is NOT a diet (you'll understand why I've said that if you find out more about this programme), Fran is a breath of fresh air to those who want to change their relationship with their food, bodies and minds.
Three very different stories, three inspirational women who are looking to bring positive changes to the world, in their own unique ways.
